 | Avex DVD to iPod Video Suite is a very good product. It's one of the best in the DVD to iPod and DVD to iPhone Category. This product works really well. It offers good features and impressive performance. This software includes the ability to copy CSS encrypted movies (all dvd movies you might buy in stores). This product is a combination DVD to iPod Converter and a Video to iPod Converter. This means, downloaded video content can also be copied to your iPod or iPhone. Some products only have one or the other. Avex has developed the complete package for the DVD consumer and the YouTube user. We are very impressed with the options available within the software. They have one step copying which makes things very simple to use for the first time user. May other products on the market seem to make the copy process confusing and complicated. That is not the case with the Avex DVD to iPod video suite. We still think the 1Click DVD to iPod is easier to use, and can copy more movies, but Avex is a very close second.
You can also easily select or de-select bonus scenes and other extras. This allows you to leave out unimportant portions while retaining all the scenes you want. This is important if you want to reduce compression and don't want all that extra "stuff" on your iPod. Avex has considered many aspects and preferences of the most common iPod user and movie enthusiast. Sometimes, copying a movie to iPod can be tricky, but Avex has made the process fairly simple.
Most important to us, and our testing is the copy quality and ease of use. The movies copied with Avex retained most of their quality through the conversion process even with significant compression settings. The result was a nice and clear video playback from our iPod.

Usability:
This product is simple to use. Just load the DVD, deselect unwanted extras on the DVD, then click the convert button. You should beware of other programs that are advertised as iPod conversion software. Mainly, all they are is link pages to file-sharing networks. They claim to give you unlimited iPod downloads. They don't really offer useful DVD to iPod conversion software but instead they provide you with links to software that not exactly easy to use.

Installation & Setup:
The setup is straight-forward and does not require you to reboot the machine after the install.
Copy Quality & Compression:
The image quality is second to none. Even with compression (which is done automatically for you), it's hard to tell when viewing the compressed unless you really set the compression (quality) level really low (low quality, high compression).
