Basically, this is really easy to use software that lets you convert DVDs (including HollyWood copy protected movie DVDs) and video from camcorders or digital video recorders. A year ago, this product may have been our #1 choice, but new competition places 1Click DVD to iPod in that role. However, Cucusoft is still a good product.
When looking for DVD to iPod software, it's important to know that this Cucusoft product has many of the most important features. It allows you to convert your favorite DVD's to play on your iPod Video, iPhone, or iTouch.
Beware of other websites and products that are really just e-books (not software) that tell you how to do this. The Cucusoft product is real software that's easy to use. This Cucusoft product has the ability to convert most copyright encrypted DVD movies, but not as many as our top choice.
We've found that this Cucusoft conversion software is one of the easiest program to use, converts copyright encrypted DVD's (most of them), and comes with frequent free updates. This product also has a large number of useful features that are easy to use. And, this software also converts your video or DVD to many types of output video media. It's two programs bundled together to form an all-in-one video Conversion package. Convert DVD movies to many formats including iPod. Convert Video from video cameras to iPod (or many other formats like PSP Playstation Portable). The software is really easy to use. Check out our demo (click the link in the left column). For most users, you'll just want to put a source DVD in your DVD drive. Open the program. Choose to output to iPod format, then click 'Convert'. That's it! This product is very simple to use. Just load the DVD, deselect unwanted extras on the DVD, then click the convert button. We've found this software to be easy to use. Installation & Setup:
The setup is straight-forward and does not require you to reboot the machine after the install.
Copy Quality & Compression:
The image quality good. Even with compression (which is done automatically for you), it's fairly hard to tell when viewing the compressed unless you really set the compression (quality) level really low (low quality, high compression).
